STORIES THAT MATTERS:

When Neurodiversity Support Reaches the Families Who Need It Most

Not every family has access to specialists, private assessments, or tailored therapies.

For many parents, the journey of supporting a neurodivergent child begins with uncertainty, isolation, and a lack of reliable information.

At MySenFamily, our workshops exist to change that.

Across our community programmes, we meet parents who are doing their very best, often without financial resources, formal diagnoses, or professional guidance. Many arrive overwhelmed, unsure where to turn, and carrying the quiet fear of missing something important in their child’s development.

Through free, accessible workshops, MySenFamily offers what is too often out of reach: clear information, practical tools, and a safe space to ask questions without judgement.

Parents tell us that, for the first time, they begin to understand their child’s behaviours not as “problems,” but as expressions of a different way of processing the world.

Simple explanations around neurodiversity, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and learning differences help families make sense of daily challenges — and respond with confidence rather than fear.

For some, these workshops are the first step toward advocating for their child at school.

For others, they provide reassurance that support does not always begin with a diagnosis — it begins with understanding, awareness, and compassion.

What changes lives is not only the information, but the message behind it: you are not alone, and your child deserves to be understood.

By bringing evidence-informed knowledge directly to families who cannot afford private pathways, MySenFamily helps reduce inequality in access to support.

We believe that every parent, regardless of income or circumstance, deserves the tools to support their child’s wellbeing and development.

These are the stories that matter most to us — not because they are extraordinary, but because they show what happens when knowledge becomes accessible, and when support reaches those who need it most.
